Featuring rooms with balconies and spa suites for overnight stays.
Rosewood Beijing has opened a new Sense spa, the first Rosewood Sense spa in Asia.
The Sense spa in the Chinese capital is 32,000 square foot in size with an interior of blonde woods, contemporary leather and bamboo furnishings. Abundant foliage fills the area while six treatment rooms are designed to include an open-air balcony and lush greenery. The remaining five spa suites cover a space of 65 to 91 square metres, which offer an option for overnight stays.
The spa also features sophisticated equipment such as Gharieni treatment beds that convert into water spa tables complete with LED bars for colour therapy. Other ranges of facilities include a fitness studio, yoga studio and a pool area encased by a domed glass roof that allows natural light to shine in.
Treatments are available for men, teens and pregnant women, using product brands such as Germaine De Capuccini and Ba Yan Ka La, a homegrown Chinese range with organic ingredients harvested according to the Chinese Lunar calendar.
Some treatments use ingredients synonymous with the Asian culture such as pearl, gold, saffron and jade.
Guests can try the Pearl of the Orient facial therapy, using mask infused with black pearls, ideally for skin lacking elasticity and plumpness. The Candle Massage sees therapists applying a warm wax mixed with an exotic blend of lavender and mandarin on the skin to work on both the body and mind. Treatments designed exclusively for men include the Coal Energy and Sea Scrub.
